Wigan Vs Wolves: Writing at half time with 0-0 .. and a 10 man wolves.. Wigan win.. continue to accumulate and build up on their good form..
Birmingham Vs Everton: Birmingham to keep a clean sheet. Win or draw would depend on Leish leash on his men. Hard fought draw.
Stokes Vs Rovers: Match of physical prowness :P.. I would go ahead with draw..
Sunderland Vs ManU: Woohoo.. toughie.. I will go ahead with manu post their CL display against Valencia.
Tottenham Vs Aston Villa: Totties to have CL hangover again. Cant c them winning this one. My bet is draw.
West Brom Vs Bolton: West Brom would be high on confidence after their display at Emirates. Expect them to continue their good show at home..sitting comfortably at 6.
WestHam vs Fulham: Hammers to hammer Cottagers ...Minus Zamora they look frail..
ManCity Vs Magpies: Mancity to build on their victory over Chelsea and push the accelerator.. Magpies would need to play tight..
Liverpool Vs Blackpool: Liverpool to win.. ending their woes and gvng them some confidence.. Would have been a goal fest with confident Liverpool.
Chelsea Vs Arsenal: Match of the week. Blues to gun down gunners..

EPL Week6 warm up thoughts n analysis of week of blues n red..
Some important meeting mid afternoon stopped my weekly ritual.. here are some warmed up thoughts n analysis:
Couple of real big questions for 2 blues backed with power of oil.. Chelsea faces their first real test and Mancini boys have chances to turn into men.. Fate of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manu, Liverpool, Totties, Manc this season would be decided how good they come off each other in a very very competitive league..
Man City vs Chelsea: A shocker for me.. expected chelsea to keep a clean sheet. Old soccer saying: Wastefulness in front of opponent goal comes back and bites hard. 18 shots with couple on target must have left Ancelloti furious as Chelsea failed to take charge of injury stricken Manchester Blues. For Mancini, in Tevez he has a heart and legs of 11 bulls. Result: 1-0 Man City won.
Shocker of the night!!!
Arsenal vs West Brom: Gunners went down 3 goals to Brommers at HOME.. pulling back back 2 goals from NASRI.. would have never predicted this correctly and its matches like these which prevents from winning the League. With Arsenal possing profits sooner or later Wenger would have to loosen the purse strings..
Birmingham Vs Wigan: Would have expected 1-0 or 0-0. Leish'd could have left them on the loose for a while I guess. But a fair result.
Blackpool Vs Blackburn: As one would have expected Rovers victory. Sam is talking both on and off the pitch..Looking forward to Wenger Vs Rovers.
Fulham Vs Everton: Injury stricken Fulham did well for a home draw and Everton still without a win this season.. Moyes certainly need some more ideas..
Liverpool Vs Sunderland: Week of shockers continue. Given Liverpool troubles results might not be a shocker but falling behind post half time is .. Torres continues to improve and Reds defense continues to leak. Hodgon need to make a fort as he did to Craven Cottage. Steve side has been impressive and they would be more dangerous as season moves.
West Ham vs Tottenham: Totties yet again failing to come out of shadow Gunners and losing steam 1-0 despite dominating possession. Rednapp is feeling the fixtures pressure for top 4.
Bolton vs Manchester United: Coming twice from behind away draught continues for Manchester United. SAF would be wondering how organise the back 4. This time it was Nani and owen to the rescue. Another shocker.
Remaining.. Stoke City and Aston Villa picked up 3 points in ther away fixtures at Magpies and Wolves..
To all the pundits looking for early end to the season gameweek 6 shockers have proved its a long season again..

EPL Week 4 analysis
29 goals .. 4 cleansheets.. top bucket getting consolidated by Chelsea, Arsenal and ManU.. fight for 4th is on between Tottenham, ManCity and Liverpool. Fulham and Birmingham are emerging as top contenders for Europa next year.
Results:
2 shockers, stoke city come from 0-1 down against Aston Villa in injury time to win 2-1 and Everton shocks Red Devils to come down from 1-3 to draw 3-3 in injury time again thanks to complete loss of nerves from manchester united defenders. Star of each show Etherington for Stoke and Cahill / Arteta for Everton.
Chelsea and Arsenal continue to torment minnows and notch up 3-1 and 4-1 victories. Fabregas has returned on a different trajectory and Chelsea's ruthless scoring streak continues.
Manchester City are yet to find their combination, feet and mix. Another home draw against Blackburn is not helping Mancini's side. Fulham put aside Wolves but lose Zamora for 8 weeks atleast.
Surprise package of the week, match in the bottom half of the table magies home against blackpool and blackpool hit them twice.
Dullest match as I have predicted Birmingham Vs Liverpool.. 0 - 0.. wall VS wall ..zzzzzzzz
Looking forward to the week 5.. especially Manchester United Vs Liverpool..

EPL Week5 warm up thoughts
Guess am making a habit of keeping it late when it comes to predictions.. gameweek time... thoughts till now.. turning out to be a 3 race horse between chelsea arsenal and manchester united who are placed in the table in the same order and also in terms of least difficulty. Kudos to Chelsea for not dropping silly points but they are always strong at the start of the season. Apart from luck against Arsenal too have capitalised on its fixture and a tough one against Blackburn. Manchester United.. slow starters big finishers.. have had the toughest fixtures. Would have expected to take 3 against either fulham or everton. This week does not get any easier for them..Liverpool at home..
Stoke City vs West Ham: Hammers facing another hammering from Stoke. Watch out for Etherington and Jones.
Aston Villa vs Bolton: After last week heartbreak at Stoke, Aston Villa would be raring to go and collect 3.
Blackburn vs Fulham: Would have been tough had Fulham not lost Zamora to injury. Low scoring close match and Rover over Cottagers.
Everton Vs NewCastle: Can turn out to be a goal glut...and a rout.. magpies be careful..
Tottenham Vs Wolves: Wolves should try taking advantage of midweek CL action away action for Tottenham.. Totties to prevail in a close match .. watch out for bale
West Brom VS Birmingham: Birmingham to a take a point atleast.. can turn out to be a goalless draw..
Sunderland Vs Arsenal: Players to watch out Fabregas and Gyan.. Arsenal defense would be tested by Bent and Gyan.. If they do well Arsenal wins..
Chelsea Vs Blackpool: WALKOVER BY BLUES !!!!
Wigan Vs Man City: Dull Draw... unless Mancini inpires a free flowing football ...
MANCHESTER UNITED VS LIVERPOOL: One of the match of the season.. Devils vs Reds.. Biggest rivalry.. Rooney vs Torres.. I will stay shut .. my heart is MANU and my head divided ..

EPL Week4 warm up thoughts
22 mins from kickoff.. prediction time:
Everton vs Manchester United: Everton hasnt been a happy touring ground for Red Devils..but with them still finding their flow this season, injured rodwell.. Red Devils would fancy their chances. Manchester United win
Arsenal vs Bolton: Gunners loses walcott and persie to injury. Still looking too strong for Bolton and have a presence in the AIR with Chamakh. Might be a close one. Gunners win.
Fulham vs Wolves: Cottagers to prevail over Wolves. 2 goal difference victory. With Zamora signing the new contract tempo is gonna be high.
Man City Vs Blackburn: Man City win. Too strong for Blackburn. But can Big Sam snatch a point.
Newcastle vs Blackpool: Blackpool free flowing dare devilery style promises a goal galore. Magpies to win.
WBA Vs Tottenham: Rednapp would to put aside Wigan blues behind and start afresh. Tottenham to win. Watch out for Bale and Crouchie minus Defoe.
West Ham vs Chelsea:Hammers would be hoping to avoid a hammering from blues who have been relentless so far.
Wigan Vs Sunderland: Bent fresh from first goal in England shirt and victory over Man City. Sunderland would want to add more points.
Birmingham vs Liverpool: Liverpool in the hot seat against Birmingham. They just seem to strong at home. Good news for Liverpool.. Gerrard is in top form and Torres is getting back there. Draw
Stokes vs Villa: Stokes stokes Villa. Expect a couple from set pieces. After last week disappointment aginast Tottenham stokes would be charged up.
2 mins from gameweek 4 signing off.. Enjoy everyone.

EPL Week3 Analysis
Week before EURO qualifiers.. never a good time for managers...
Another good week of prediction and a hattrick :).. 22 goals no goal fiesta.. 6 clean sheets.. more like a normal week... Some good hard closely contested football not soccer matches.
2 major upsets of the week: Tottenham loses at home to Wigan (given have lost last 3 and conceded 10 goals) and not so bad result Man City loses an away match to Sunderland in injury time. Man City would need points from such matches if want to challenge for SILVERWARE and CL berth ELSE TA TA AU REvior BYE BYE Mancini and he knows it.
Previous BIG 4 (Chelsea Arsenal Manu Liverpool) calmly collected their 3 points each from their clashes. Rooney ended his draught and is looking omninous. Despite criticism this season 1 goal and 4 assist in 3 outing "NOT BAD".
Chelsea put up a professional performance against resilient Stoke. They would be lamenting Lampard and Terry picking up injury though and would be reliefed with an intenational break coming along.
Manchester United are picking momentum are definitely not an one man horse this season. Berbatov is coming of age like an old wine and Nani out of shadows of CR7 are good signs for MANU scored a beauty and stunner.
Arsenal and Liverpool both took home 3 points and waiting for Fabregas and Torres to start firing...
Other results:
Coyle is rallying Bolton to some critical points here and against Birmingham snatched a point from 2 goal and 1 men down position. Highlite of the match Bolton fightback and their goalkeeper Jussi slapping Roger Johnson.
Luke Young cracker killed Everton and Villa is learning to live without Milner.
Carroll and Etuhu scored late and helped earn Magpies and Cottagers valuable 1 point.
Season is hard and long.. big 6 would soon face each other. gear up for the battle...
England after world cup debacle needs a turnaround..

EPL Week2 Analysis
Fresh from 9 day long vacation and having missed EPL the last weekend due to EURO qualifiers we are back.
EPL Week2 thoughts:
EPL week2 happened to be good for my predictions and was fairly exciting in terms of goals scored (avg 4 goals a match :) ).
Arsenal and Chelsea continued drubbing of minnows Blackpool and Wigan 6-0 each. In form Walcott blitzrieged Blackpool with Arshavin and Chamakh enjoying the loot too. For Chelsea Drogba didnt scored a goal and starred with 3 assists. Chelsea are on a mission with Ancelotti who knows how to work with old war horses having won a Champions League with aging Milan side and fiery Kaka.
Old habits die hard and ManU fans must be ruing Red Devils way of making life difficult for themselves by drawing Fulham in a away match. Despite vintage Scholes performance in the first half ManU lost momentum in the second. Credit should got to coach Hughes and Zamora and Nani for missing the penalty :P.
Man City bombarded Liverpool with 3 goals and got started with their season. Mancini clever business over the transfer period have made them a formidable force. Huge array of talent in midfield and upfront. One would feel though defense is still fragile. Liverpool needs Torres and Gerrard and both good. Its still early season but Man City has one foot ahead.
Other results, Newcastle destroys Aston Villa 6-0. Carroll sings Villa carol on the green and earned his hattrick and Barton would now get rid of his moustache. Goal line technology has been the talk of the town and we Stoke would cry foul after being denied an equaliser. Tottenham should thank genius of Bale and absence of technoology.
Everton gave away 2 home points to wolves and Birmingham marches ahead in a toughie against Big Sam Blackburn. Bolton hammered Hammers 3-1.
38 goals fiesta was Week2....

EPL Week3 warm up thoughts
I owe my views on gameweek 2 fixtures but luckily had a good prediction time with 8 out 10 in line.
Biggest shocker has to be Manchester United against Fulham. Vintage Scholes, early lead and 1st half domination to inspired Fulham performance converting a ManU win to a draw. Highlite has to Nani’s miss penalty. SHOCKER!!
Some news from the midweek: Top 3 English sides (ManU Chelsea Arsenal) get easy Champions league fixture so that should put smiles on their manager’s face. Tottenham after great performance in CL qualifiers over Swiss “Young Boyz” draw Inter Milan.
Funnily enough, Benitaz lost to Athelico in Super Cup with last year “UNBEATABLES”. Mourinho or Special One’s effect. After Liverpool is it Inter’s turn :P.
Jumping to gameweek 3 predictions guys:
Blackburn v Arsenal: Big Sam Men (Battering Ram and Rugby Ishstyle) to Wenger swift lightning quick crafty boys. Just makes life tough for prediction. Wenger made an astute purchase during midweek Squillaci from Sevilla to boost the backline. Big Sam gets Benjani Mwaruwari and boosts the front line. Walcott was g8 but a pointer and reason he his criticized “in 60th minute Chamakh was unmarked and a simple cross would have led to the goal, Walcott shoots over the bar, its one thing to score against Blackburn and another against Chelsea or International. I will keep my euphoria under wraps.”
Result: Arsenal wins unless they leak one in a set piece. Expect a close game
Blackpool v Fulham: Got a welcome to Big Stage drubbing from Arsenal last week 6-0. Expect Fulham to win unless Blackpool play a little deep. They try and play real football but they ought to thinking about some points.
Chelsea v Stoke City: Chelsea win!!!. Blues are firing on all cylinders. Challenge for ManU is 1st of season “traditionally slow starters” and Chelsea is 2nd half “old legs and few injuries would make them wobbly”
Tottenham v Wigan: Impressive midweek, impressive bale, crouch and defoe. No reason why they wont win by a margin of 2 or 3 J.
Wolves v Newcastle: BenArfa Marseille to Newcastle united. 6-0 routing of Aston Villa last week must have left toons in high spirits. Welcome back toonies. Toons win, Wolves run for shelter.
Man Utd v West Ham: Shrug of craven cottage, devils we are back in “Theature of dreams”. Manchester United win. 2 or 3 goal margin. Expect Rooney to be influential J.
Bolton v Birmingham: Mcleish men have been making life difficult for everyone. Expect that to continue. They play in “Phalanx” and are tough to break. Expect a close match and draw.
Liverpool v West Brom: Liverpool win. Should be charged up after midweek victory in Europe. Waiting for Torres to come to full fitness.
Sunderland v Man City: This would be a good test for Man City. After a professional mid week victory in Europe their focus would now shift to Premier League. This is what they have to come to terms with to be contenders for life in BIG FOUR. Can Mancini overcome internal bickering and instability. He has done it till now. Last week it was Liverpool. My predictions: Result would be decided by How Man City back 4 counter the threat of Bent, Cambell. Odds in Man City favor.
Aston Villa v Everton: Villa look unsettled and unstable. Everton win or draw.
Stars: Rodwell / Arteta (Everton), Bent (Sunderland), Tevez / Milner (Man City), Gerrard / Babel (Liverpool), Jaaskelainen / Gardner / Elmander (Bolton), Larsson (Birmingham), Scholes / Vidic / Berbatov (ManU), Carroll (Toonies), Bale / Crouch (Tottenham), Old Pillars of Chelsea & Malouda, Walcott / Chamakh / Diaby (Arsenal), Robinson / Diouf / Dunn (Blackburn), Zamora / Dempsey (Fulham)
Have beer, Break glasses, Get high only on soccer… Enjoy Gameweek 3 J

EPL Week2 warm up thoughts
Arsenal Vs Blackpool: Arsenal win 'Expect Chamakh to shine and youngsters to shine in 1st home game against newly promoted. There can be surprises'
Birmingham Vs Blackburn Rovers: Birmingham win 'Should be a very close one. Would Blackburn take their chances well ?'
Everton Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: Everton win 'Expect Everton to bounce back. Can they shrug of new season rustiness. They still have a quality squad'
Stoke City Vs Tottenham Hotspur: Draw or Stoke City win 'Have totties recovered from midweek CL game and can they deal with physical and aerial threat of stoke. Its looking tough'
West Bromwich Albion Vs Sunderland: Draw 'Sunderland looks shaky but have real quality going forward. WBA can get a result here if don’t make defending errors they did against Chelsea'
West Ham United Vs Bolton Wanderers: West Ham United win 'Both need to pick some points :P'
Wigan Athletic Vs Chelsea: Chelsea win 'Chelsea are looking too strong. Expect Wigan to be more resilient and a silent first half'
Newcastle United Vs Aston Villa: Draw 'They are going to miss Milner in the midfield'
Fulham Vs Manchester United: Manchester United win 'Manu please overcome Craven Cottage sickness'
Manchester City Vs Liverpool: Manchester City win 'Expect Man City to come all guns blazing. Liverpool would need to quick on the counter'

EPL Week1
Premier league 2010-11, a 6 horse race with Chelsea and Manchester United leading the pack in front of Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City gets kick started on Aug 14, 2010.
And what a start we got !!!. No major upsets with Manchester United (3-0) and Chelsea (6-0) cruising against Newcastle and West Brom. Chelsea started where they left last year and Manchester United old war horses Gingerman and Flying Welsh made sure ManU keeps up.
130 million pound and a draw against Tottenham (away) for Manchester City. Mancini would need to gel his troops sooner. With super mario and milner set to join the ranks an interesting question is in front of Mancini, can you combine numbers from all top teams, assemble them in one and win the title. Time will tell !!!
Credit to Hodgson to give some stability to Liverpool boat and were slightly unlucky in their openers against Arsenal sans Fabregas and Van Persie ofcourse.
Highlite of the week has to be Blackpool newly promoted to EPL drubbing of Wigan.
Lastly, to summarize the week Blackburn with Big Sam looked impressive playing some real hard football :P.
Players of the week :
GK: Hart (Man City)
Defense: Baptiste (Blackpool), Jones (BlackburnRovers), Ashley Cole (Chelsea)
Midfielders: Malouda / Lampard (Chelsea), Milner (Man City), Scholes (Man U), Larsson (Birmingham)
Forward: Drogba (Chelsea), Berbatov (ManU), Harewood (Blackpool)
Transfers:
We have to talk about ManCity before we talk about others and their five star signing of Super Mario, Milner, Boateng, Toure and Silva at only 130 million pound. If they get a good run going they are going to be handful this year.
Traditional Big4: Chelsea, ManU, Arsenal and Liverpool all doing astute business in the summer with Chirachito catching most headlines for his display in the world cup and pre season.
Outside new promoted blackpool have been busy and signing new faces. They are going to create a few upsets.
Aston Villa got a double knock with Martin O Neil and Milner leaving. They reacted strongly last season to Barry's departure. Would they react the same way this season or is it a case to too many blows ?
Season thoughts:
1/2 : Manchester United and Chelsea
(to be decided between Chelsea old legs and Red Devils midfield)
As a Red Devil fan hoping MANU can get Van Der Vaart.
3/4/5/6: This is tight. Mancini: Can you combine your squad? Rednapp: Can you handle CL or stick to EPL ? Wenger and Hodgson: Pray to god "no injuries". Hodgson: Try to prevent big players from going and hope club saga is sorted out soon.
Hunch: Arsenal and Manchester City
Relegation: Wigan ..
Surprise package: Birmingham and Blackburn and Blackpool (3B)
